A little confused, but hopeful
Well, I have gotten off to an unsure start. I have some good things going but I really need to resolve other things. It has been suggested that the idea of identity in my work seems generic, and easy...something I have suspected all along. I need to rebuild my language and concepts to get to the root of what I am really looking at. Humanity, after all, is a tricky subject. You can't pin it all on identity..there I go using that word again...

The beginning of the end
I have been thinking a lot about what I have done in the course of my graduate studies, and what I plan to do for the next six weeks, to finish up my degree. It's hard to imagine what kind of work I will make, but I know that I would like to set myself up with new ideas and a strong road to travel after my time in school is over. With that in mind, I want to keep an open mind, steering clear of any predetermined projects. Whatever happens happens!

we meet again
Well,
It's been a while since I have posted on my blog. A lot has happened since then! I have submitted the almost official thesis, and I have embarked on a very fun, yet challenging project, which I plan to continue throughout the summer. That project, "Choose My Underwear, " began as a passing thought I mentioned to my mentor a few semesters ago. I jokingly said "What if I could get strangers to buy me underwear?" The more I thought about it, the more it seemed like a good, and provocative idea.
"Choose My Underwear" has been going for a few
months now and I am finally getting steady submissions to the project. Lucky for me, I have a great group of friends and colleagues who understand and support the project for what it is. I am hoping that it grows beyond this group into the realm of the unknown.
