Thesis Pieces

External influences such as biology and economics are juxtaposed with internal influences such as psychology and sexuality to explain how roles are perceived both collectively and individually. What determines gender? What are the origins of gender perspective? Women have a tendency to characterize themselves according to external perspectives, claiming to be a type of woman. The willingness to categorize one’s gender into types is an internal process driven by external stimuli. Day to day, we interact with others who have chosen roles for themselves, and we experience what works, what doesn’t, and choose what is compatible to our individual definition of gender.
