I have been thinking about my own environment in terms of human relationships, the people I interact with, and their stories. Working at a retirement community thrusts my into many people's lives for a short time each week. I would like to start a project based on these people, taking inspiration from Chinese ancestor worship, Victorian silhouettes and medical statistics.
This is GREAT! I especially like the idea of developing a project inspired from your job which, on the surface, is not really connected to your life as an artist. I'm also always conscious of the idea that EVERYBODY has a story. Do you ever listen to the storycorp people on npr friday mornings?
